What ends up in the Norse Projects sale

Last season's stock from the main range, moved across as the new collection lands. Nothing here is made for the sale — every piece also sits in the full Norse Projects range, in the same fabric and the same cut. Norse works to a conventional two-season calendar, so the page fills up twice a year and thins out in between: heavy in late summer and again after Christmas, sparser in the months between. Sizes go from the middle of the run outwards, mediums and larges first, so what remains is often the ends rather than the popular sizes.

Where the Norse Projects reduction is worth most

The percentages look similar across the page but the money does not. Outerwear is where the fabric spending goes — the Gore-Tex Windstopper pieces, the alpaca and cotton-wool jackets — and a third off one of those is worth several times a third off a t-shirt. Knitwear sits in the same bracket. Worth knowing too that Norse keeps its cuts and changes the cloth: the Ezra trouser and the Johannes tee come back every season, but that particular fabric and colour generally does not. A reduced piece is usually the last of that version rather than something that will return cheaper later.

Buying reduced Norse Projects

The advantage of a brand that repeats its shapes is that last season is not last season in any meaningful sense — an Aros trouser or an Arne hoodie bought reduced looks no different from the one arriving at full price, because the pattern has not moved. Where that is less true is the printed t-shirts and the seasonal dyes, which are drawn fresh each time. If you already own something in a Norse cut you get on with, that size will carry across the range, since the fits are named and consistent rather than varying garment by garment.
