Better Sweater has a knit face, so it reads more like a jumper than a fleece and works under a jacket or on its own. Synchilla is the original heavyweight pile fleece — warmer, bulkier and more obviously outdoor kit. Both are recycled polyester.
Patagonia's standard t-shirt, made from recycled cotton and recycled polyester rather than virgin fibre. The fit is regular and the fabric is midweight. It carries the P-6 logo and the seasonal graphics.
Nano Puff uses synthetic insulation, which keeps some warmth when damp and dries faster — the better choice for British weather or anything active. Down Sweater is warmer for its weight and packs smaller, but loses loft if it gets wet.
40 litres works as cabin baggage or a weekend bag. 55 litres covers a week. 70 and 100 litres are for longer trips or bulky kit, and both come in wheeled versions. The packing cubes come in 3, 6 and 14 litres and are sized to fit inside them.
Highly water-resistant rather than fully waterproof. The ripstop fabric has a laminate coating and the seams are welded, so they shrug off rain and wet ground, but the zips aren't sealed and they aren't built for submersion.
Regular through the body, with fleece and shells cut with room to layer. Baggies shorts run loose by design. Measurements are listed on each product page, and both shops hold Patagonia if you'd rather try something on.
