What's reduced in the Paul Smith sale

This is a clothing sale rather than an accessories one. T-shirts make up the largest group — the graphic prints including Desert Flowers, Skull Sketch, Eye Back and the P5 bike series, alongside plainer logo and stripe tees. Knitwear runs to merino and lambswool crew necks and a zip cardigan. The outerwear covers unlined jackets, corduroy and stretch-cotton work jackets, ripstop showerproof jackets and a hooded puffer.

Paul Smith shoes and trainers in the sale

Around a dozen pairs, and they split cleanly. The Rex, Muller, Dover and Amos are the trainers — the Amos in canvas, the others in leather. The Crane and the pebble suede shoe are the softer, more casual end, and the Richie boots and Crane chukka are the two boots. Shoes go out of the sale faster than clothing because there is less size overlap, so a pair still showing your size is worth taking.

Paul Smith sizing is fairly consistent across the clothing, though the fits are named rather than numbered — regular, casual, tailored, relaxed and slim all appear in the product names here, and they differ more than the labels suggest. Where a product page gives a fit name, it is worth reading it rather than going by your usual size in the brand.

Reduced pieces are end-of-season rather than made-for-sale, so they are the same garments that were full price earlier in the year.
